One month after graduation, the 30 years of the mafia massacres is one of the hypotheses for the first test

Commissions and high school exams The annual Skuola.net survey also reports war and Covid19 as possible traces for the topical issue (ANSA)

Thirty years ago, Giovanni Falcone was killed in the attack in Capaci together with his wife Francesca Morvillo and his escort.

Precisely this event could be the subject of the 2022 Maturity test. One month from the start, the students wonder about their fate, also trying to foresee the hypothetical traces of the first written test, that of Italian.

Thus the traditional Skuola.net totoexam - which, thirty days from the start of the high school diploma, saw the participation of 1,500 high school students - is filled with predictions closely linked to the period we are experiencing, all of which can be concretized in the exam proposals.

28% indicate the track on the March on Rome as the first possible option, but its prices are slightly down compared to two months ago.

For more than one, the event that 100 years ago paved the way to the twenty years of fascism is all too predictable, almost taken for granted.

For this reason, 23% of the students bet everything on another theme: the thirtieth anniversary of the mafia massacres of '92, in which the anti-Mafia magistrates Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino lost their lives;

an episode closer to our time but which cannot fail to be part of the historical events that have marked Italy.

Finally, there is a "shy" 9% who hypothesize a trace relating to the 1992 Maastricht Treaty, which sanctioned the birth of the European Union.

Do not miss the chapter dedicated to anniversaries and anniversaries, linked to famous people, which fall this year.

In the past editions, in fact, Maturity has been linked several times to the birth or death of some important authors or important historical figures.

And 32% of the students interviewed think so too, according to whom it is legitimate to expect a trace relating to Giovanni Verga, whose centenary of his death this year marks.

But in 2022 also one hundred years have passed since the birth of Pier Paolo Pasolini, one of the authors who certainly influenced the last century.

For this reason, 21% of the graduates have no doubts: he will be among the protagonists of the first test of Italian.

But there are also those (11%) who hypothesize that the trace on the Unification of Italy can be dusted off: perhaps with a theme inherent to Giuseppe Mazzini, who died exactly 150 years ago.

Coming up to date, 31% of those interviewed favor a trace on the war in Ukraine.

No less current is the Covid19 pandemic, which among other things has heavily penalized the school in the last two years: for this reason 16% of students see this alternative favored, perhaps with a reflection linked to the post-pandemic.

To these two scenarios is added a third, or a hypothetical trace inherent to the crisis of energy resources, more than a suggestion for 8% of young people, also considering the progress of the conflict in Eastern Europe.
