The Damascus Education Directorate has completed its preparations for conducting the general certificate exams for basic and secondary education and taking all necessary to provide a comfortable atmosphere for students.
Damascus Education Director Suleiman Younis indicated in a statement to SANA reporter that the directorate has completed preparing 663 exam centers to receive more than 78 thousand students from the basic and secondary education levels in all its branches and securing them in terms of logistical requirements, preparing the exams department and question-printing centers.
According to the numbers of the directorate mentioned by Yunus, 78,411 students sit for general certificate exams in Damascus governorate, including 36535 basic education and legitimate preparatory schools distributed among 295 centers and 36666 secondary education in its scientific and literary branches distributed over 321 centers and 669 legitimate secondary schools distributed over 4 centers and 4541 vocational secondary schools with its commercial, industrial and women’s branches distributed on 43 centers.
Younis pointed out that the observers were distributed to the centers and the examination cards were prepared for the students and delivered to the schools, which in turn would hand them over to the students, while 12 niches were allocated to deliver the examination cards to the students who will present as free study 12 hours a day on a daily basis to reduce congestion when receiving the cards.
And the Director of Damascus Education indicated that the follow-up room in the Directorate was equipped to start its work two days before the exam, where the assistants of the Director of Education were assigned to work in it on a daily basis with the aim of communicating with the exam centers. Specialists and educators to prepare centers for correcting examination papers in the governorate and selecting corrective teachers for each subject while preparing the logistical situation for each correction center.
