(ANSA) - GENOA, MAY 23 - The great Monet exhibition closed yesterday at Palazzo Ducale in Genoa.
Masterpieces from the Musée Marmottan Monet in Paris which welcomed an audience of 120 thousand visitors, including all those who - during the exhibition period - took part in extraordinary events and openings together with those who attended "I Racconti dell'Arte".
A great success that the exhibition has already met from the first days of opening last 11 February, maintaining a stable trend that has seen peaks of over 2 thousand visitors on weekends.
Many Italian visitors but also foreign ones; numerous groups of individuals and schoolchildren who were able to admire - in a completely new and renewed setting, that of the Munizioniere of Palazzo Ducale - the 50 masterpieces of the Impressionist father from the Parisian Musée MarmottanMonet which houses some of the spearheads of Monet's artistic production.

Masterpieces from the Musée Marmottan Monet in Paris was promoted and organized by the Palazzo Ducale Foundation for Culture, the Municipality of Genoa, the Liguria Region and Arthemisia, was created in collaboration with the Musée Marmottan Monet in Paris and was curated by Marianne Mathieu, art historian and director of the same museum in Paris.
