In addition to his work as an actor, Sachtleben has worked as a voice actor in hundreds of film and television productions - including "Home Alone" and the "Harry Potter" movies.
Sachtleben was born in Berlin on September 24, 1930 and later became a theater actor.
He had roles at the Hebbel Theater in Berlin, at the Schauspielhaus in Zurich and at the Bavarian State Theater in Munich.
He was on the stage there for more than 30 years and was appointed Bavarian state actor in 1977.

In recent years, Sachtleben has also appeared in other well-known series such as "Hubert and Staller" or "Dahoam is Dahoam", as well as in crime series such as "Tatort", "Der Alte" or "Soko 5113".
As a voice actor, he was used for around 800 different speaking roles.

Sachtleben was also heard as a speaker in other films such as »The Fabulous World of Amélie«.
Because of the corona pandemic, Sachtleben retired from the profession.
"All the regulations and the fear of infection made my decision easier," he told the dpa news agency on the occasion of his 90th birthday in September 2020.
