If you want to invest your money sustainably, you have to choose the appropriate funds and shares.

If you are unsure, you can find help here.

Anyone who invests in shares*, funds and ETFs should take a close look at which companies are supported.

You do not want to support environmental sinners or warmongers?

Then, if possible, your investment portfolio should not contain any weapons manufacturers and suppliers, nuclear power producers or companies that otherwise harm the environment.

The Stiftung Warentest, the largest German consumer organization, has analyzed which funds are particularly sustainable.

The following products, among others, support neither weapons production nor ecologically critical power generation and convince in the Stiftung Warentest with the

highest score in the area of sustainability

:

  • Universal GLS Bank Equity Fund B

  • Monega Steyler Fair Invest Equities R

Which companies do I support with my investment?

"Ökoworld, Triodos, Steyler, the Global Challenges Index, Deka, Union - they all want nothing to do with weapons," was the conclusion of the Stiftung Warentest financial experts during their examination.

Only Sweden's SEB Investment Management allows some funds to invest in the defense industry.

Not sure which companies are in your fund?

Just ask your bank or advisor.

They can usually give you a breakdown.

Against the background of the current situation in Ukraine, many are wondering: aren't weapons for self-defense purposes essential in war?

Even if you answer this question with "yes", the subsequent question arises as to whether you want to

increase your own money with such transactions

, the Stiftung Warentest points out.
