(ANSA) - BEIJING, MAY 24 - Chinese and Russian military jets flew jointly over the Sea of Japan and the East China Sea, while the leaders of the Quad block - Japan, USA, India and Australia - met in Tokyo to discuss regional security.
The Japanese defense minister Nobuo Kishi reported this, stating that Tokyo has expressed its "grave concerns" to the two countries.
The Global Times, a Chinese tabloid, wrote that the People's Liberation Army (PLA) sent more warships to the key straits near Japan (Tsushima and Miyako) "in response to US provocations and Japanese remarks."
