A naked man caused a car accident in Saarland.
As the police announced, the 60-year-old from Saarbrücken was on the road with a convertible on Tuesday evening: "Despite the cool temperatures, the man was stark naked."
At high speed he came off the road in Wadern-Krettnich in a curve and drove into a pallet of building materials.
Previously, he had destroyed a flower pot and a construction fence element with his car, it was said.
Police officers and emergency services freed the man from his vehicle and took care of him.
The convertible was reportedly badly damaged in the accident.
“It is not yet clear why the man was walking naked,” the police said.
"What is certain, however, is that he was under the influence of alcohol." This was proven by a breath alcohol test.
Officers took the man for a blood test.
He is being investigated on suspicion of causing a traffic hazard.
