(ANSA) - TURIN, MAY 24 - The Civic Art Gallery of Palazzo Vittoria in Pinerolo (Turin) will host the Enrico Colombotto Rosso exhibition from 29 May 2022 to 8 January 2023.
Il GenioVisionario, promoted by the Municipality of Pinerolo with the patronage of the Piedmont Region and organized by Munus Arts & Culture, with the Enrico Colombotto Rosso Foundation and the collaboration of the National Cinema Museum of Turin.
The exhibition, which represents the most important retrospective ever dedicated to Enrico Colombotto Rosso with over 150 works on display, is curated by Lorenzo Soave and Daniela Dello Iacovo and is connected to the exhibition dedicated to Dario Argento, currently underway at the National Cinema Museum in Turin.
The curator Daniela Dello Iacovo comments on a discovery, which took place during the preparatory work for the exhibition: "I observed that the well-known works in the film Profondo Rosso on the one hand did not correspond to the style of the painter who had created them, Francesco Bartoli, on the other hand they did not seem to be , as has been believed for many years, exact copies of works attributable to Colombotto Rosso, since they were too dissomogeneous, without a single design. then it was confirmed by Dario Argento to me and to Lorenzo Soave, with whom I curated the exhibition ".
Among the events connected to the exhibition is Il Fantasma dellaVilla, the first Escape Room in an Italian museum where the inter-structure - Villa Prever in Pinerolo, where the Mario Strani Civic Museum of Natural Sciences is located - becomes a large play space with a reference directed to the "villa of the screaming child" featured in the film Profondo Rosso by Dario Argento.
