(ANSA) - DAVOS, MAY 25 - In Davos the climate is "one of great uncertainty" for the world economy, and this for Europe "means a slowdown in growth, but not necessarily a destiny of recession".
This was stated by the EU Commissioner for Economic Affairs Paolo Gentiloni on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum.
"We can and must work using all the tools we have to prevent braking from translating into recession";
starting from the recovery where the Italian government "is working with great determination" and with "temporary and targeted measures to help the most vulnerable families" such as the taxation of extra energy profits. Gentiloni then reiterated that "there is no request for 'Europe to raise taxes on housing, of any kind, in no way of the hundreds and hundreds of pages of recommendations we do ".
