(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 25 - Even some Ukrainian pupils who have found refuge in Italy after escaping from the conflict together with the many children from all over Italy to be present at the farm set up at Villa Celimontana in Rome for the food education party organized by Coldiretti.
Not far from the Colosseum, spaces have been set up to allow young guests to milk cows, take care of animals in the biodiversity stable, learn to cook in the farm cooks' tent, play shopping like igrandi, discover the world of bees, do the orthosensory and riding the donkeys of pet therapy.
A didactic and life approach, Coldiretti affirms, to put the stress that the pandemic and now are wreaking havoc on here causing smaller children too.
There are over three thousand educational farms present in the Italian countryside that can accommodate children during the summer.
An experience that parents like if more than four out of five Italians (82%) of Italians are in favor of registering their children on an agri-campus, according to an online surveyColdiretti.
An offer that through the Education project to the Campagna Amica di Donne Impresa Coldiretti has involved about 10 million children in the last twenty years, practically half a million a year, of which 70% in the age group between 4 and 11 years, from kindergarten to primary and 30% older middle and high school students.
"The goal - specifies Coldiretti - is to train consumers who are aware of the principles of healthy nutrition and the seasonality of products to enhance the foundations of the Mediterranean diet and rebuild the link that unites agricultural products with the foods consumed every day".
