(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 25 - Green light from the Chamber of the Chamber to the ratification of the Quirinal Treaty between Italy and France.
The text, approved in Montecitorio with 352 votes in favor and 39 against, passes to the Senate.
The Treaty for "enhanced bilateral cooperation" was signed last November 26 in Rome.
It includes a preamble and 12 articles, accompanied by an operational and adaptable "work program" over time.
The collaboration goes from defense to immigration, from culture to the common borders, from the economy to young people, from space to social and sustainable development.
Of particular importance is the institutional framework of the new Italian-French cooperation: an annual intergovernmental summit will be organized in which the point on the implementation of cross-border cooperation will be examined and priority issues of mutual interest will be examined.
