Putin visits war wounded Ukraine for the first time

Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the Mandrika Central Military Hospital in Moscow to meet some of the soldiers wounded in the war in Ukraine for the first time. (HANDLE)


(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 25 - Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the Mandrika Central Military Hospital in Moscow to meet some of the soldiers wounded in the war in Ukraine for the first time.

Upon his arrival, Putin, wearing a white smock, was accompanied by Defense Minister SergheiShoigu.

After the meeting, Putin praised the soldiers.

"All those who take part in the special military operation to defend the Donbass are heroes and should be treated as heroes," he said.

"Regardless of the rewards" the participants in special military operations receive or not, "they are people who put their health and their lives at risk for the good of the people and children of Donbass, for the good of Russia. They are all heroes", he added.
