The "Raw Pool Drag Race" on the way to Israel?
"Israel Today" has learned that TV producer Assaf Gil is negotiating with the rights holder on the format of the successful American reality show, in an attempt to bring it to Israel and produce a local version.
The origin of the successful format, as mentioned, is in the United States.
Since the program's first aired in 2009, versions have been produced in several other countries, including Canada, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Thailand, Spain and Australia.
Attempts have been made in the past by local producers in Israel to acquire the rights, but without success.
In recent weeks, however, another attempt has been made led by Gil, TV personality Yinon Mills, and fashion photographer and one of the creators of the drag show "Hysterica", Eitan Tal.
Today (Wednesday) the production is filming a first presentation featuring the ten drag queens, which may advance the rights acquisition process.
If everything goes as planned, we will see here a blue-and-white version of the successful reality show.
