But now the company from Beijing wants to develop further and conquer the market with games.

TikTok is said to be testing the first mini-games in Vietnam.

What exactly will be tested for games is not yet known.

However, owner ByteDance has been trying to break into the video game industry for some time.

The company from Beijing has already bought the mobile game studio Moonton, which could probably develop the games for TikTok.

First, TikTok is testing the games in Vietnam, according to Reuters sources.

If the test phase is successful, the games will then be rolled out on TikTok throughout Southeast Asia.

No conversion is planned for Europe and America for the time being, but that could follow once it has been successfully established.

What does TikTok hope for from this?

Overall, the company hopes that users will spend even more time in their app.

The company also wants to increase the watch time (watched time) and is therefore extending the video length from one to three minutes.

In addition, the advertising revenue should be increased.

Commercials could be shown between different levels, as is already the case with many mobile games.
