Praises like wine

Zion Cohen, chief technologist of roasted and ground coffee at Elite Coffee Company, which has been in the field for over 30 years, a coffee number is like wine.

"The coffee plant grows in 65 countries around the world, and humans have discovered 129 different species of it. From them, two varieties were selected that yield the most yields - Arabica and Robusta. Each has the conditions under which it thrives and each yields a different flavored coffee drink. In simple words - If you plant coffee bushes that came from the same species in different places in the world, you will get coffee with a different taste. "

In an effort to bring Elite Capsules unique flavors and aromas, Elite Coffee blends and Single Origin combinations dedicated to the countries of origin of coffee, and each has its own story.

Here's the story behind Elite Coffee's Single Origin capsules:

Uganda (No. 13)

Uganda is one of the top 10 countries in the world in exporting and growing coffee.

While in many countries coffee production is concentrated on farms or large farms, production in Uganda is on a very small scale.

In fact, there are more than one and a half million farms that produce coffee in Uganda, and the vast majority produce individual bags of coffee each year.

The coffee grows in the rainforests in mountainous areas, and for the capsule a combination of local arabica and robusta beans was chosen that yields very aromatic, sour, floral coffee (reminiscent of jasmine and dark chocolate), uniqueness of taste and aroma, for those who like strong and special coffee.

Indonesia (No. 12)

Indonesia is a very unique country - a country of islands, with a very different climate from island to island and also with different climatic zones within the islands themselves.

In Southeast Asia, many different spices naturally grow, and the coffee beans that come from Indonesia also have a spicy and different character.

To create the Indonesia capsule, high-rise Arabica beans were combined together on the famous island of Sumatra along with Robusta beans grown on the island of Java, on rich volcanic soil.

If you are looking for a bitter, spicy coffee, rich in aromas and breaks the routine - this is the coffee for you.

Guatemala (No. 11)

Guatemala is one of the leading countries in coffee production in the world (in the top 10 according to current lists).

The growing conditions for coffee in this country, Central America, are considered among the best in the world.

To create a Guatemala Coffee capsule, Arabica and Robusta beans were combined together from 1800-meter-high plantations located on volcanic soil, very rich in minerals.

These conditions help to yield aromatic coffee with high acidity, fruitiness, bitterness reminiscent of dark chocolate, and is suitable for those looking for coffee with character.

Brazil (number 06)

Brazil is the number one coffee maker in the world - more than a third of the coffee drunk around the world comes from this huge country.

Its coffee plantation areas are larger than the area of many European countries such as France, Spain or Italy.

For the Brazilian capsule of Elite Coffee, Arabica beans from different regions of the country have been selected, and they create a refined coffee with medium acidity, full body and nutty (natural) flavors that are suitable for those who like their coffee more relaxed.

Colombia (No. 08)

Colombia is the third largest coffee producer in the world, second only to Brazil and Vietnam.

This is one of the countries where Strauss runs the sustainability project: "More Than a Cup", which supports women-owned coffee farms, provides them with agricultural training and equipment.

Through the project the farm owners can develop the education and community around them.

The coffee in the Colombia capsule is a 100% Arabica tribute participating in the project, and it is grown in high-altitude orchards, which create a very aromatic drink, with a full body and medium strength.

It has a high acidity compared to others and a very noticeable fruitiness, even reminiscent of berries and peaches.

Its richness and complexity are perfect for those who especially love espresso.
