(ANSA) - LONDON, MAY 26 - In a new documentary by Bbcci, never-before-seen footage of Queen Elizabeth as a young man taken within the royal family.
The program entitled 'Elizabeth: The Unseen Queen' was created in collaboration with Buckingham Palace and comes just one week from the main popular celebrations of Platinum's Jubilee for the 70th anniversary of the throne of the sovereign.
One of the shots shows Elizabeth in her twenties in 1947, while her father, King George VI, the Queen Mother and her sister Margaret relax aboard the Royal Navy battleship HMS Vanguard during a royal tour in South Africa.
Meanwhile, Great Britain is preparing for next week's celebrations and the final calendar has been published with the times of the various scheduled events.
Starting from the special Trooping the Color parade which Elizabeth should not miss on Thursday 2 June, followed by the expected appearance from the balcony of Buckingham Palace.
On Friday 3 June the royal family will take part in the thanksgiving function in Saint Paul's Cathedral and on Saturday 4 June the sovereign should be at the Epsom Derby horse race, an event followed in the evening by the BBC Platinum Party, an open-air concert in front of the Palace.
Sunday 5th June is the day of the great parade in the British capital.
The fact that the queen has also recently participated in events in London by moving away from the castle of Windsor, which has now become her residence, bodes well for her participation in the events of the Jubilee, after the flat rates for not getting tired even in the face of her mobility problems.
