(ANSA) - BERLIN, MAY 26 - "Global warming is increasing dramatically".
This was stated by the German Minister of Economy and Climate Robert Habeck, on the sidelines of the G7energy in Berlin.
"To face the emergency we have to get out of fossil energy quickly", he explained and "we need an acceleration of ecological transformation".
Habeck stressed that at the top the planet's two main challenges, overheating and the loss of biodiversity, will be tackled together.
"In the next 36 hours we will talk intensely about this", he added, hoping that "the G7 can take on a pioneering role" in decarbonisation.
An agreement by the G7 would be an encouraging sign ". (ANSA).
