(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 26 - In May 2022 it is estimated an increase in both the consumer confidence climate index (from 100 to 102.7) and the business confidence climate index (from 108.4 to 110, 9).
Istat notes this, underlining that for businesses there is a new methodology for calculating the index rebuilt since March 2005. The index for businesses is almost back to the levels of February, before the war (111) while for consumers it marks the first rise after four months say so.
In industry, confidence shows a decrease (in manufacturing it falls from 109.9 to 109.3, in construction from 160.6 to 158.7) while in services it definitely increases (from 97.2 to 103.6 in market services, from 103 , 6 to 105.5 in retail trade).
