Survey of patient satisfaction from medical institutions: Rambam and Beilinson at the top of the list of large hospitals • Prof. Nachman Ash: "The success of the hospitals indicates the quality of the caregivers and their great dedication"

Rambam and Beilinson are the leading hospitals in Israel in terms of patient satisfaction, according to a survey by the "Patient Experience" conducted by the Ministry of Health.

Next on the list: Shaare Zedek (86), Soroka (84), Ichilov and Meir (83) and Sheba (81).

The lowest scores were given to Assaf Harofeh and Kaplan (80) and the hospital in Nahariya (79).

Among the medium-sized hospitals, the highest scores were awarded: Hasharon Hospital (88), Carmel and Bnei Zion (87) and Assuta Ashdod (85).

The low scores were given to Ziv in Safed and Hillel Yaffe (77) and Barzilai in Ashkelon (78).

The small hospitals that received the highest satisfaction: the Holy Family (92) and the Scottish (91), the Springs of Salvation (88), Hadassah Mount Scopus (85) and Hadassah Ein Kerem (84).

Hospitals whose improvement was significant compared to the previous survey: the Holy Family, Hadassah, Mount Scopus, the Scottish, Laniado, Rambam and the Sharon.

The Ministry of Health conducts the survey every two years among patients discharged from inpatient, surgical or other wards (excluding emergency rooms, maternity wards, children and psychiatry) two weeks after discharge from hospital.

The concluding score that hospitals in Israel received from patients is 83. The rate of hospitalization in the corridors of hospital wards is declining: in the current survey, 7% of patients interviewed were admitted to the corridor during all or part of the hospitalization, compared with 11% in 2016 and 9% in 2018.

Hospitalization in corridors is more common in inpatient wards (10%).

The rate of lying in the hallway is lower (4%) in small hospitals.

The Ministry of Health's service department noted that "even during the Corona period, most hospitals were able to maintain the improvement that was achieved and even achieve further improvement - it is certainly gratifying."
