(ANSAmed) - TEL AVIV, MAY 26 - The journalist from al-JazeeraShireen Abu Akleh "was killed by an Occupation soldier while she was trying to flee along with other journalists" during the 11 May clashes in Jenin (West Bank).
This was stated by the Attorney General of the Palestinian National Authority Akhram al-Khatib, quoted by the Maan press agency.
"The bullet that killed the reporter - he continued, illustrating the results of the investigation - contained a fragment of steel that pierced her protection".
According to the prosecutor, the journalist was shot in the head.
