Azzurri: Mancini summons 8 other players

They will be added tomorrow to the list of 39 already made official (ANSA) The national team coach Roberto Mancini has summoned, to supplement the list already made official last Monday, a further group of eight players who will reach the Federal Technical Center of Coverciano tomorrow. Six have won the call after the training sessions reserved for players of national interest which took place between Tuesday and Thursday: they are the defender Federico Gatti (Frosinone)


The national team coach Roberto Mancini has summoned, to supplement the list already made official last Monday, a further group of eight players who will reach the Federal Technical Center of Coverciano tomorrow.

Six have won the call after the training sessions reserved for players of national interest which took place between Tuesday and Thursday: they are the defender Federico Gatti (Frosinone), the midfielders Salvatore Esposito (Spal) and Samuele Ricci (Turin), the forwards Matteo Cancellieri (Verona), Wilfried Gnonto (Zurich), Alessio Zerbin (Frosinone).

With them, defender Giorgio Scalvini (Atalanta) and midfielder Tommaso Pobega (Turin) have been called up.


    The group of 47 Azzurri will reach CTF tomorrow where they will remain until May 31, the day of departure for London where the Italy-Argentina Final is scheduled for June 1 (Wembley, 8.45 pm).

Before the start, Mancini will issue on May 30 a list of players called up for the first of the 5 matches scheduled in this international window and at the same time a list of players who will meet in Coverciano from 2 June in view of the start of the UEFA Nations League 2022- 23.
