The second free practice session in the Moto3 class of the Italian Grand Prix at the Mugello circuit saw Jaume Masia (Ktm) win with a time of 1'57 '' 134.
The Spaniard beat the Japanese Ayumu Sasaki (Husquarna) and Tatsuki Suzuki (Honda) in the order of 608 and 641 thousandths.
The two drivers at the top of the time standings, together with Elia Bartolini from Cesena, were the protagonists of a spectacular accident at the Correntaio curve.
Sasaki got the worst of it, hit by Masia's bike.
Transported to the medical center, the Japanese was subjected to a series of x-rays that would have ruled out fractures.
As a precaution, the pilot was still transferred to the Borgo San Lorenzo hospital (Florence) to undergo a head CT scan.
In the ranking of times,
the first of the Italians was the Roman Dennis Foggia (Honda), 4 / o, followed by the championship leader, the Spaniard Sergio Garcia (Gasgas).
