Lotto on Saturday (May 28): 5 million fill the jackpot

The lottery winning numbers are drawn every Wednesday at 6:25 p.m. and every Saturday at 7:25 p.m.

Since 1955, many people have been eagerly awaiting the announcement of the lottery numbers, which until 2013 could also be seen on television in the evenings.

Since the television broadcast of the live draw was discontinued, it can only be followed live on the Internet at lotto.de or on the YouTube video portal.

The lottery tickets can be purchased and filled out both in kiosks and online.

On a game slip there are boxes with 49 numbers that can be ticked.

Lotto participants pay EUR 1.20 for each box plus a one-off processing fee of EUR 0.20 per lottery ticket.

However, bettors should urgently keep an eye on the deadlines for the lottery acceptance deadline, as these differ from one another in the various federal states.

In all other federal states, the deadline ends at 6 p.m.

On Saturdays the times are pushed back by one hour.

Lottery is one of the most popular games of chance in Germany.

Every participant wants the highest possible prize money.

However, the chance of winning the jackpot in prize class 1 in the classic lottery game 6aus49 is very small: it is 1 in 140 million.

Participation in the game is also only permitted from the age of 18.

But beware: gambling can be addictive.

Those affected can find help at the Federal Center for Health Education (BZgA).
