Mohammed Al Ardhi, head of
Investcorp
, a Bahrain investment fund that had made an offer to buy
Milan
, confirms the end of the deal on Twitter.
"We discussed with Elliott about a potential investment in AC Milan. How can it happen in these cases - he writes - a commercial agreement has not been reached and we have decided by mutual agreement to close the talks".
In negotiations now there is only RedBird, an American company that would have valued the Rossoneri club for one billion and 300 million euros.
The parties would be very close to closing, with
Elliott
likely to remain with a minority stake.
We had discussions with Elliott about a potential investment in #AC Milan.
As can be the case with premium deals, a commercial agreement wasn't reached, and we have mutually decided to end talks.
We wish AC Milan the best for next season and beyond
