Francesco is 21 years old, competes with the Carabinieri uniform and is the absolute Italian vice-champion in office.

They have not only their surname in common, but also a passion, that for horse riding, born in a family that made this sport his life.

Francesco and Lorenzo Correddu, young knight brothers, are the protagonists of the second appointment of the second season of 'Protection and Sport', the talk promoted by Area X, the first experiential space dedicated to the culture of protection created by Intesa Sanpaolo Assicura.

"It is a sport that is done in two - says Lorenzo -. The bond that is created with the horse is an important aspect, perhaps the most important, it is a unique thing, you must be good at making yourself understood by him, but also to understand and respect his emotions. In our sport protection is fundamental, ours as well as that of the animal ".

"That with the horse is a very strong relationship - confirms Francesco -, the care for the horse becomes fundamental, for its well-being and for the results you want to obtain".

That of Francesco and Lorenzo is therefore a family story, and also in this the concept of protection is central.

"Our parents have always taught us the right things - they say -, a safe way to ride a horse, with the right protections, these are really important things because you can get really hurt".

"Horse riding - explains Lorenzo - is a sport that transmits important values ​​to you, gives you a great education, teaches respect, fairness, care, order, and to relate to people".

And the relationship between brothers is also strengthened.

"We are very close - says Francesco -, we always help each other, in the race, at home, even in quarrels with mum and dad - he smiles -. In the race we help each other a lot, we give each other advice, we cheer on someone for the

other.

We have been rivals several times, but it is a rivalry that helps us, spurs us to do better and better. "
