It is a sequence that marked the last days.
On Wednesday, more than a hundred activists from environmental NGOs, including Greenpeace, blocked access to the general assembly of TotalEnergies, to protest against the group's policy affecting ecosystems.
In response to this demonstration, several people presented as shareholders of the group verbally attacked the activists, notably intimating them to "clear", also insulting them with "bitch", before the meeting opened a few minutes later.

It is the image of those who defend their profit now by not caring about the consequences”, considers Barbara Pompili who “hopes” to hear Patrick Pouyanné condemn these remarks.

This Friday, at the microphone of Franceinfo, the former Minister of the Environment Barbara Pompili said she was "extremely shocked" by this altercation: "People who insult activists by saying that in any case it is not serious and that we're all going to die give a terrible image of shareholders, even if I imagine that all shareholders are not like that.
"It gives the image of shareholders who are defending their profits now, giving no thought to the consequences it will have for those who will follow them," added the politician, asking the CEO of Total to condemn these insults uttered by these purported shareholders.

Barbara Pompili also protested against the oil giant's policy of continuing "to have so many investments in fossil fuels", describing this choice as "shameful".
"Total is one of those who continue to invest a lot, even if they have diversified, but it's not going fast enough," she says.
For her part, MP LFI Manon Aubry considered that this attitude of the shareholders "says a lot about their desire to destroy the planet".
