The Director of Education in Damascus Countryside, Maher Kamal Faraj, announced the arrival of the first batch of students for basic and secondary education certificates coming from the Lebanese territories to take the general certificate exams.
The Director of Rural Education said in a statement to SANA that the number of students who crossed the Syrian-Lebanese border yesterday evening reached 253, including 93 students applying for the general secondary certificate and 160 students for the basic education certificate, indicating that this comes within the efforts of the Ministry of Education to deliver education to all students. without exception.
The Director of Rural Education noted the efforts of all concerned parties to secure the entry of students and their access to the hosting centers designated for them, and the great cooperation between the Ministry of Education, the Damascus Countryside Governorate, the Department of Immigration and Passports, and the Red Crescent Organization, pointing to securing the hosting for the arriving batch in the Rawda and Yabous centers.
In turn, a member of the leadership of the Damascus Countryside Branch of the Baath Party, Dr. Hamid Abu Khalif, pointed out that the concerned authorities have been on the border since the morning hours, and they will remain until the last student enters and arrives at the hosting centers.
