Doctors protest against violence at Mount Scopus rally: "Police station should be set up in hospitals" // Yoni Rickner
Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz: "Violence against medical staff should be eradicated and quickly - and that is exactly what we are doing. A nurse who is involved in saving lives is not a policewoman and should not be afraid of being beaten. We have zero tolerance for violence in hospitals."
Under the proposed resolution, police officers would be stationed regularly in 28 hospitals.
The decision includes the allocation of 48 manpower standards and an annual operating budget of approximately NIS 20 million.
