State of Play: full leak of the presentation – long-awaited remake is to come

Where does the information come from?

A post appeared on Twitter on May 29, 2022, apparently showing a schedule for the half-hour State of Play on June 2nd.

The account that shared the post is simply called Xbox_Series_XS, but it is an unknown private individual.

The post has continued to spread since it first surfaced, provoking some reactions from the community.

Which games are included?

Sony had already announced in advance that the State of Play would focus primarily on games from third-party manufacturers and the PlayStation VR2.

Accordingly, nobody should expect God of War Ragnarök here, even if most fans are looking forward to Kratos' next adventure.

Instead, smaller fan favorites are apparently to appear, such as the sci-fi cat adventure Stray, Street Fighter 6 or Little Devil Inside.

For PSVR 2, on the other hand, there should be a new overview of the headset, but the first titles should also appear in the presentation.

Here are all the expected games from the Twitter leak:

  • Project Destructive (Announcement Trailer)

  • Stray (Final Trailer)

  • Street Fighter 6 (First Trailer)

  • Project Eve (Trailer)

  • Forspoken (Story Trailer)

  • Little Devil Inside (Gameplay Trailer)

  • Tchia (Story Trailer)

  • PlayStation VR2 (Overview)

  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 + VR (Announcement Trailer)

  • Resident Evil Village: Last Hopes Update + VR (Gameplay Trailer)

  • Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora + VR (Gameplay Trailer)

  • Daemonium + VR (Announcement Trailer)

  • Resident Evil 4 2023 (Teaser)

A few smaller and larger surprises can already be seen in the line-up of the State of Play.

First and foremost is of course the expected reveal of the long-awaited remake of Resident Evil 4, which is also titled 2023 in the leak.

If there is anything to it, the remake would be released next year.

It is also striking that Modern Warfare 2 is to be shown with a VR mode.

There was a congruent message at the weekend, where it was said that the VR mode from MW2 should come exclusively for PSVR 2.

How trustworthy is the leak?

Unfortunately, it is currently absolutely impossible to say whether there is anything to the leak of Xbox_Series_XS.

On the one hand, the Twitter post reveals in great detail what trailers are coming for which game and how long they should be.

In addition, the information coincides with other statements, such as the rumor about the VR game mode from MW2.

On the other hand, the Twitter account has practically no credibility when it comes to leaking information.

The table in the post looks rough enough that someone could have just cobbled it together in Open Office.

In addition, according to expert opinion, Modern Warfare 2 should only appear on June 8th at the Summer Game Fest.

For the moment, the information should be taken with a healthy dose of skepticism.

However, as someone wrote on Twitter in a comment on the leaked post, this list is the most realistic that could be expected for the State of Play so far.
