The Maneskin release the video clip of "Supermodel", the new single released on May 13th.
The band, meanwhile, went on to record their second platinum record in the UK with their hit "Beggin".
Shot in London and directed by the duo Bedroom Projects (The 1975) and Ben Chappell (Arctic Monkeys, Nine Inch Nails), the video sees the Maneskins, in total Gucci look, protagonists of their own script for the single "Supermodel".
Combining classic film elements from Tarantino and Hitchcock, the band captures the song's fierce mood and playful lyrics as a series of catastrophic events unfold.
"In the video we wanted to pay homage to our favorite films of the 90s - says the Roman band -. In the song we tried to capture a cinematic atmosphere on an enigmatic character and we wanted the video to reflect this style as well. After having had the idea, we worked closely with the directors and Ben to recreate shots and sequences of our favorite films of those years. We had a lot of fun shooting in London, in funny scenes that reminded us of a crime B-movie. "
Produced by Max Martin and his team, the band presented "Supermodel" with a surprise performance at the Eurovision Song Contest in Turin.
The rock anthem with a Californian sound was born with a series of characters that the band met during their time in Los Angeles.
The band will kick off their "Loud Kids Tour" world tour on October 31st from Seattle, which was sold out, and will travel to other cities such as New York, San Francisco, Atlanta, Washington and Los Angeles.
Måneskin will then leave for the European tour in 2023. The summer of 2022 will see them protagonists of a tour of the most prestigious world festivals.
They will stop in Italy again for two dates scheduled for Thursday 23 June at the Stadio Comunale G. Teghil in Lignano Sabbiadoro and Saturday 9 July at the Circus Maximus in Rome (sold out).
