(ANSA) - TOKYO, 01 JUN - Caution still prevails at the opening of trading on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, after the contraction of US stock markets and pending macroeconomic indications from China in conjunction with the end of the anti-Covid lockdown period.
In early trading, the Nikkei benchmark index marks a barely positive change of 0.06%, to 27,295.42.
On the currency front, the yen loses ground against the dollar at 128.80 and the euro at 138.20.
