(ANSA) - NEW YORK, June 02 - Vladimir Putin is ill with cancer and underwent some treatments in April.
The news was reported by Newsweek, quoting American intelligence according to which the Russian president had escaped an attack in March.
The Americans are worried about an increasingly "paranoid" Putin who makes the war in Ukraine unpredictable.
In reporting their assessments to Newsweek, US officials caution that Putin's growing isolation makes it more difficult for intelligence to provide an accurate assessment of Putin's physical and mental health.
