Almost everyone loves water trips.

Some dip, some wade a foot and a half, some just sit by the creek and nibble on snacks.

But this time, we will offer you not just a water trip, but one whose culmination is standing under the waterfall.

And it does not matter if it is a meter and a quarter waterfall or a skyscraper waterfall - because as soon as the water lands powerfully on the skull and envelops the whole body in a kind of out-of-water vortex - a great feeling of, well, addiction arises.

Addiction to a good section, yes?

Job Waterfall: Also a waterfall, also a Sea of Galilee

Do not let the slightly depressing name affect your mood, because the Ein Ayub spring in the north of the Sea of Galilee produces a wonderfully cheerful waterfall.

In fact, it forms a pair of waterfalls, several tens of meters apart.

But for convenience it was called a "waterfall."

Until quite a few years ago, the Waterfall of Job was a secret, and only determined waterfall hunters knew it (and half of Tiberias).

But since then a lot of water has flowed in it, and today on Saturdays it will be difficult for you to get close.

So either you arrive really early in the morning, or you steal a day off work and are almost alone in the middle of the week.

The second option is of course much more enjoyable.

The height of the waterfall depends on the level of the Sea of Galilee, and in any case, it is a good few meters of water that falls violently straight on your surprised head.

The water of the waterfalls flows into shallow pools that are suitable for the little ones, and from there - its waters merge on the Great Sea of Galilee.

Also a waterfall, also a Sea of Galilee.

Just a little shade missing here, but let's not diminish.

Gilbon Waterfall: 40 feet of water on top

To stand under one of the beautiful waterfalls in the Golan, you can walk a complete circular route that is about three kilometers long, or you will go on the shorter, shorter version. We will always prefer to walk more, to see more, experience more and return home as late as possible. This waterfall

falls

from a height of about 40 meters, and even before you reach it, it is seen in all its beauty from the top of a beautiful vantage point on your path.

Itself. The fact that the surroundings are surrounded by high cliffs only intensifies the feeling of fun

The hidden waterfall in Nahal Arugot: not hidden, but addictive

Do an experiment: Drive on Saturday morning to Nahal David in the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve.

Enter the reserve and walk towards the first and second waterfalls.

Were you able to stand under it?

probably not.

This is how you stand at the top of the rating table.

But do not despair, because in the same nature reserve, Nahal Arugot is also waiting for you.

True, the route in it is more challenging for families, but certainly possible.

In return, you will get spectacular views of a bustling oasis, with far fewer hikers.

And yes, also a great waterfall that goes by the name "Hidden Waterfall".

If it's not too hot, and if you have more strength, it's worth making an extra effort and visiting the upper pools of Nahal Arugot - magic in itself.

And even if not - the hidden waterfall is a great break point where it is recommended to lie down for a long time.

Both underwater and next to them.

The distance from the beginning of the route to the waterfall is about two km. Beyond it, the walk to the upper pools is suitable for families with large children who are accustomed to walking. At the entrance to the reserve you get a detailed information leaflet and a map of the routes

Angular Waterfall: All roads lead to the waterfall

There are two ways to experience a waterfall.

The first is through a dedicated observation deck located above or next to it, and the second is from a height of zero, just below it.

In the case of the angle, you will experience both ways.

The waterfall itself, which is part of a Jewish nature reserve in the Golan Heights, boasts a height of about 27 meters, and to reach it you have to swim in deep water.

It can be reached as part of a full circular hike route ("Upper Angle" route, about 7 km), where you can take a dip in beautiful pools of water, which have tiny waterfalls - a hint to come. And again, the shorter one, a matter of about 3 km.

At the entrance to the reserve, you will receive a detailed information leaflet and a map of the routes.

Arrive:

Park in the upper Nahal Zavitan parking lot.

Entrance fee (22 NIS for an adult, 9 NIS for a child).

The Black Waterfall in Nahal El Al: Water in the heart of the wild Golan

Black basalt rocks, newly yellowed vegetation, canyon spaces and one stream that flows peacefully though, but here and there does some drama through two waterfalls: the Black Waterfall and the White Waterfall.

The hiking route in Nahal El Al in the Golan Heights requires two vehicles, but it is possible to take a cute round trip to the Black Waterfall, which is about nine meters high.

Here, as in many of the flowing Golan streams, a deep pool of water awaits you at the foot of the waterfall.

The road to the waterfall is not short (a mile and a half in each direction), but it is suitable for families with children who love to walk.

People come here not only because of the water, but also because of the wild landscape, as only the Golan knows how to provide for those who dedicate themselves to it.

And if you're wondering where the waterfall's name comes from, well - pay attention to the dark rocky surface on which the water flows.

to arrive:

The "Black Waterfall" in Wise (parking in the Black Waterfall parking lot).

Please note: As of mid-May, there were exceptional results in the water sampling performed to examine the state of pollution in Nahal El Al.

But things are fluid and changing all the time.

It is recommended to check the website of the Nature and Parks Authority before arrival.

Rihaniya Waterfall in Ramat Menashe: Nancy Waterfall for the little ones

Let's start with the fact that the name "Rihaniya" may be misleading.

It has nothing to do with the Circassian settlement of Rihaniya in the Upper Galilee, but in a spring that flows much closer to the central area - in Ramat Hashofet, a shouting distance from the more well-known area of Nahal Hashofet.

And if we have already opened with clarifications, here is another one: here there is no waterfall.

That is, where the adults do not notice the waterfall, the little ones will look like an exciting waterfall.

It's all a matter of perspective.

We'll get to that later.

The road will bring you to a beautiful pool of water (Ein Rihaniya) that is forbidden to enter, as there is a delicate and sensitive ecological balance.

Please, do not immerse her in even a toe.

Just continue along the road, until you reach a tangle of reed plants, where tiny and cute pebbles are hidden, floating over slippery rock flakes.

And everything is hidden from the whole world.

to arrive:

Arrive at a parking lot east of Moshav Ein HaEmek (on Road 672).

Camp, walk the valley on a red trail, pass the water pool of Ein Rihaniya, and after about 750 meters from the starting point, you will start looking for the tiny secret.

Eye heel: The wet desert

The following waterfall is for SUV owners only.

What to do, there is no justice.

On the other hand, this is your chance to remember friends you haven’t spoken to in two years, the ones who hold a Pajero in the parking lot.

Ein Akev, in the Tzinim Cliff Nature Reserve, not far from Sde Boker College, is reached not because of the waterfall, but because of the deep pool of water at its foot.

But if you are already wading in the water, would not you swim another meter and a half to enjoy the drizzle that feeds the pool, and falls into it from an impressive height of about ten meters?

Of course it is.

In any case, Ein Akev is a place you come to lie down for a long time.

Still, water in the heart of the desert is no small matter.

The water sites mentioned in the article are not regulated bathing sites and do not have rescue services.

It is important to know this, especially if you have small children.

Entering the water is the responsibility of the hikers.
