When Allan fishes in the Seine, he pulls “real monsters” out of the water.
For more than 16 years, this resident of Saint-Denis (93) has been tracking catfish in the suburbs of Paris.
2.37 m is the size of its record catch.
A happiness shared on TikTok with the community of fishermen, more and more important on the social network.
With Cédric, alias "Dark fishing", Allan drifts on the river in a float tube.
An inflatable craft steered with flippers.
It allows them to have their legs in the water and "be one with nature" to approach their prey discreetly.
“My favorite technique is to catch it with bread,” says Allan.
The "tradition rod" at the end of the hook attracts small fish which are then swallowed by the catfish, itself trapped.
This is where the fight begins.
"It's heartbreaking," he admits.
Allan practices sport fishing to relax, and for almost a year, to share his passion and exchange some advice with other tiktokeurs.

"The networks give a new vision of fishing", confirms Cédric.
“It makes more and more people want to get into it and breaks the cliché of the little grandpa with his beret, the blow cane and the little cork”.
Recently, "one of our fishing friends, Corsikator, even caught an albino catfish over two meters".
In the comments under the video, the verdict is unanimous: "it's the fish of a lifetime".
