(ANSA) - ROME, June 03 - Parliamentary work on pause for the election day of June 12 with the administrative elections and the vote for the referendum on justice.

An appointment, next Sunday, which represents for political leaders a test case not only for the strength of their parties, but also for testing future alliances in view of next year's political elections.

The spotlight is on the vote in Sicily with its capital Palermo.

The center-right in extremis managed to regroup while the Pd and the Five Star Movement could hold the baptism of the alliance with the primaries in Sicily for the choice of the candidate to lead the Region.

For the center-right, on the other hand, the administrative vote will serve to certify not only the strength of the alliance, but also to consolidate the challenge for leadership between the leader of the Lega Matteo Salvini and the president of Fratelli d'Italia Giorgia Meloni.

What is certain is that the outcome that the urns will deliver could reopen the games for a change in the current electoral system: "Let's wait for the administrative", admits for example the president of M5s Giuseppe Conte.

The break for the polls, however, does not cancel the knots that the majority will find themselves at the resumption of the para work.

The main obstacle is the resolution that the parties will have to renew in view of the premier's communications (on 21 June in Parliament) in view of the EU Council.

On that occasion, the intentions of the Movement which has already announced will be known to ask for a stop to the possible new dispatch of arms to Ukraine.

Then there is the taxi node in the examination of the bill on competition in the Chamber and the battle of the pentastells against the waste-to-energy plant to be built in Rome whose vialibera is awaited with the ok to the aid decree.
