(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, JUNE 04 - The EU is one step away from a political agreement on the directive for the minimum wage.
The decisive round of negotiations between the European institutions (Commission, Parliament and EU Council) will start on Monday evening at 7pm in Strasbourg, on the sidelines of the plenary of the European Parliament.
The likelihood of reaching an agreement on the night of Monday to Tuesday is reportedly very high.
The directive, proposed by the European Commission in 2020, aims to establish a framework for setting adequate and fair minimum wages while respecting the different national approaches of the Twenty-seven and to strengthen the role of collective bargaining.
