“As most cases of monkeypox reported so far involve men who have sex with men, there is a risk of stigma.
The observation is made by the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control, in a report published this Thursday, June 2.
Nearly 1,000 people have tested positive for monkey pox (“monkeypox” in English) in three weeks, excluding African countries where this disease is endemic.
A majority of them are homosexuals and bisexuals.
