Another celebration at the royals: While the Queen's 70th anniversary events continue, Harry and Meghan's daughter turns one year old. Elizabeth II has apparently met her great-granddaughter before.

Royal first birthday wishes for Queen's great-granddaughter Lilibet: "Happy 1st birthday to Lilibet," the royal family's official account tweeted on Saturday, along with a balloon emoji.

As reported by the media, Queen Elizabeth II wanted to meet her second youngest great-grandchild in person on Saturday.

According to information from the newspaper "Sun", the audience for Lilibet's family with father Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan is not the first time that the Queen has seen the baby in person.

Accordingly, Elizabeth met little Lilibet on one of the previous days.

The number eight in line to the British throne is currently visiting her father's home country for the first time.

The family, which also includes Lilibet's big brother Archie (3), has been living in the United States for a good two years after Harry and Meghan gave up their royal duties.

Her attendance at the Queen's 70th jubilee had fueled hopes that tensions within the royal family could be resolved.

Above all, Harry's father Prince Charles and his older brother Prince William are said to resent the couple's sharp criticism and serious allegations against the palace.

Meghan and Harry attended the Queen's thanksgiving service at London's St. Paul's Cathedral on Friday, traveling in a convoy with other family members.

They were cheered on by onlookers.

At the ceremony, however, William and Harry avoided each other, British media reported.

Lilibet is named after the Queen's family nickname.

The name initially caused a stir: citing an anonymous source from the palace, the BBC reported that Lilibet's parents had not asked the Queen before the birth if their daughter could bear the name.

However, Harry and Meghan defended themselves against the allegations.
