Bubi Dennerlein
, technical commissioner of the Italian swimming team for over twenty years,
died this morning in Rome .
Dennerlein, who would have turned ninety next December, was the master of Novella Calligaris and generations of blue swimmers through seven Olympics played as head of the Italian team.
"He taught us to win and to swim; he trained generations of champions. He was a bit like the father of Italian swimming and this morning he joined his brother Fritz".
Thus the
Fin
remembers Bubi Dennerlein.
"The whole movement is more alone. Bye Bubi, bye master" writes the federation again.
