Every August many flock to the desert to watch the Perseids - the meteor shower - which is seen around August 12 every year, because full moon nights are expected on the rainy days, which will make it difficult to watch them.



But desert tourism does not keep quiet about the yeast and prepares for desert lovers - an area where the nights are pleasant and even cool in summer - a cool festival called "Cool Summer Nights" that will begin on July 14.

The festival, which will take place throughout the Negev, will include six weekends of experiences in the desert - a full moon night experience, a weekend between sunset and sunrise, desert heritage experiences, a nightlife weekend, a moonlit weekend on Tu B'Av and a weekend of wine events And vintage with the Negev Winery Club.



This year, as part of the festival, you can enjoy subsidized experiences and activities for the whole family, with the opening event on July 14 combining a new lunar night experience in the form of the traditional Ben Gurion March in the Sde Boker area, night activities and moonlight workshops.

Every weekend you can taste different experiences from the desert, including sunrise and sunset tours, fascinating encounters with nocturnal animals, night safari tours, scorpion tours, star observations with professional telescopes and astronomy activities in honor of Tu B'Av, sand dune sand drowning, abseiling from the crater, And ancient traditions, urban tours and a desert grape vintage experience for the whole family.The



activities will take place during the cool and pleasant hours of the desert in a variety of sites, galleries and art studios, green vineyards, wineries and air-conditioned visitor centers as well as in nature.

July 16-14: Weekend experiences a full moon night in the desert

The opening event of the summer, will offer a full moon night experience in the traditional Ben Gurion March (in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Sports) on two routes surrounding Sde Boker.

As part of the night routes, there will be a variety of fun activities, workshops and moonlight activities.

The experience will be open for arrival from midnight to midnight.

July 23-21: Weekend experiences between sunset and sunrise

The second weekend of the festival will be dedicated to a variety of experiences that will take place between sunset and sunrise.

As part of it, you can enjoy sunset tours in Yeruham, sand surfing at the entrance to Nitzana, lantern tours in Agam Yeruham Park, scorpion safari and night safaris in Yeruham, Sde Boker, Mitzpe Ramon and Nitzana, star observations and astronomy experiences in Ramon Crater and Yeruham Crater,

If you are lucky, you may enjoy a unique phenomenon known as "cloud surfing".

July 30-28: Desert Heritage Weekend

The third weekend will be dedicated to heritage experiences in the area and during it we will get to know closely the lives of the ancient inhabitants of the desert and those who live in it today.

Guided tours of the "Spice Road", authentic experiences in the Bedouin "Tent Road", observations and stories in the Negev-Byzantine Negev cities of Shivta and Avdat are some of the activities that will take place this weekend.

August 6-4: Nightlife weekend in the Negev

The desert nightlife belongs to the animal world on the one hand, and to the human world on the other.

A variety of activities will be waiting for you this weekend, including: Scorpion tours, safari tours that include night encounters with predators and desert predators in between: gerbils, bats, wolves, porcupines, snakes and more.

Along with the animals, stargazing and astronomical tourism will also await you, and for lovers of human culture, the Spice Road district in Mitzpe Ramon awaits with good music and surprising nightlife.

August 13-11: A moonlit weekend in love on Tu B'Av

The tourist farms surrounding Mitzpe Ramon will open their gates to a variety of evening and night experiences, wine tasting, guided sky observations, art and mental and mental health workshops, guided tours in the evening, camel rides, woolly alpacas, razor rides, jeeps and tomcars and more.

August 20-18: Desert Wine Weekend

The Mirage Winery Club of the Mirage Foundation has brought about a significant leap forward in the field of wine in the Negev in the past year.

This weekend, festival guests will be invited to enjoy green vineyards on which the innovative and successful wine industry in the Negev is based, as well as visit the rich wine heritage sites of the Nabataean-Byzantine world. This is a unique experience that can only be enjoyed in the high Negev. -Evening evenings of the new wine world and the ancient wine world, in the ancient Byzantine cities of Avdat and Shivta, with wine experiences, wine tasting and acquaintance with the new wine culture of the Negev.
