There are only a few days left until June 12 when the Italians will be called to express their opinion on the five referendums, promoted by Lega and Radicali, relating to justice.

According to a survey, conducted by SWG for La7 between 18 and 23 May, the turnout should be between 26 and 30% of those entitled

.

A percentage that would not allow to reach the quorum.

Among those who intend to vote as regards the limitation of pre-trial detention and the abolition of the "Severino law", no would prevail, while for the other three questions the winner would be yes.

Not only is the propensity to go to vote very low, but there is very little talk of the five referendum questions, at least on television

.

In fact, according to the data of the Authority for communications guarantees, between 22 and 28 May the RAI news programs dedicated 1.10% of the total time to referendums, while in extra-TG programs it even drops to 0.33%.

More time is spent by the Mediaset news channels, but it still remains at 1.45% and 1.19% for talk shows.

Even more marginal is the time spent by the other broadcasters with Discovery, which never even talks about it.

In short, it would seem that the Italians have other thoughts, starting with the economic and social consequences of the conflict in Ukraine, and that even the television news does not push on the subject.

To learn more ANSA and DataMediaHub analyzed the online conversations

(social + online news + blogs and forums)

in the last thirty days in relation to the referendums

.

From 7 May to 5 June, there were just over 12 thousand online referendum citations, in Italian, by about 38 thousand unique users, whose contents involved (like + reaction + comments and shares) almost 632 thousand people.

Starting from the beginning of June we see an increase in daily conversations on the topic but we still remain on relatively low volumes compared to other analyzes we have conducted on other issues.

A clear prevalence of men, aged between 25 and 34, who are more interested in matters related to legal and governmental aspects, speak online about referendums.

Much of the online conversations relating to the referendums are concentrated on the silence of the televisions and the probable victory of abstention

.

Controversy in particular for Luciana Littizzetto's monologue aired in the latest episode of 'Che Tempo Che Fa' on Rai3, where the actress declared that she was going to the beach on June 12 instead of voting for the Justice referendum.

In this sense, the prevalence of negative sentiment, of negative emotions associated with online conversations on the subject, is to be understood, as shown by the word cloud of the words associated with referendum, with precisely Littizzetto, referendum and vote characterized by negative sentiment.

Not by chance is the tweet of Piero Sansonetti, director of Il Riformista, who writes that “Rai ignores the referendum on justice.

I guess on the advice of the parties.

Luciana Littizzetto even proposes a boycott.

My goodness, guys other than regime! "

one of the statements that involved the largest number of users.

And also Carlo Cottarelli, who also wrote on Twitter that “There are 9 days to go until the referendum on justice.

I find it incredible that there is so little talk about it ”gets a relatively significant number of retweets and likes.

In conclusion, therefore, it seems that those who participate in the online conversations on referendums have mainly the intention of going to vote and in all probability vote yes to the five questions but, as we have seen, the people involved in this regard are a small part while the majority seem little interested in the question confirming what emerges from the SWG survey.
