The departure from the Corona era also reaches the world of jazz, with the announcement of the International Festival, which returns in full and abundant format to Jerusalem and will take place at the Israel Museum on July 7-5.
After the festival has been held on a limited basis for the past two years, this summer you will be able to hear the jazz sounds carefully chosen by the festival's artistic director, international trumpeter Avishai Cohen, which will be heard throughout the magical Jerusalem Art Garden, produced by the Israel Festival.
As part of the festival, there will be intimate performances in the museum's art galleries, improvisations, artist workshops, night jams and more.
Featuring this year: Fred Hersch (USA), Zion Golan and El Kat (Israel), Dilan Balkay (Turkey), Edmar Castaneda & Gregoire Maret (Colombia-Switzerland), Julian Lage (USA), Lela Tamar who will host Samir Langus (Israel-Morocco) and more.
A look at the artistic program reflects a rich variety of contemporary jazz world, corresponding with world music, alongside inspirations Dixieland, pop, hip hop, rock, groove, avant-garde, electronic music and more.
Along with the leading and promising creators of the Israeli jazz scene, musicians from around the world will come, and in the best tradition, the festival will include secret and one-time performances that will break out in surprise in central or hidden corners of the museum.
