Due to foreign objects in a popular chocolate puffed rice, the manufacturer is launching a recall.
Consumption is strongly discouraged.
Kassel – The well-known chocolate puffed rice with the name "Nippon" from the manufacturer Hosta is affected by a current recall.
Foreign bodies that are hazardous to health have probably gotten into one of his products.
The company is therefore asking all consumers who have bought products from the relevant batch to bring them back or not to consume them.
Affected are the packs with the lot numbers L291 and L292 from Nippon.
The best before date 03.2023 is also decisive.
There may be plastic parts in the puffed rice with chocolate.
The plastic parts probably come from a cover of the packaging machine.
Plastic fragments can cause internal injuries and bleeding if consumed, which is why it is strongly discouraged.

Chocolate puffed rice recall: Foreign body discovered in Nippon
In Germany, there are always recall campaigns, some of which even go beyond national borders.
For example, shortly before Easter 2022, the producer Ferrero recalled surprise eggs and other children's sweets.
The cause was initially unclear and ultimately led the authorities from the EU to a Belgian plant.
The reasons for a recall can vary.
Such a recall, which affects Nippon, occurs when checks reveal germs, pollutants or foreign bodies that should not be in the product.
This often happens during internal inspections or it is noticed by employees in food control.
If something like this happens, the manufacturer is obliged to inform customers and authorities about it, reports Stiftung Warentest.

As always, however, it is possible to bring all the relevant packs back to the relevant supermarket and get the money back, even without a receipt.
