According to a hardware manufacturer, an improved version of the PlayStation 5 will soon be on the market.
Shortly after the market launch, the first rumors about a PS5 Pro made the rounds.
It's not uncommon for Sony to release improved versions of the consoles.
Still, it was far too early to speculate about a PS5 Pro.
In the meantime, however, almost two years have passed since the latest PlayStation has been on the market.
And according to a major hardware manufacturer, the Pro version won't be long in coming.
PS5 Pro is said to be coming in 2023 or 2024
During a panel discussion held in Poland by Chinese hardware maker TCL Technology, the company presented an interesting infographic.
It showed that TCL expects both Sony and Microsoft to launch
new versions of the
PS5
and
Xbox Series in 2023 and 2024.
There were previously rumors that the PS5 Pro could appear during this period.
TCL also specifically claims that the new consoles will
display games in
8K resolution and run at
120 frames per second
.
How credible is the information?
It is unlikely that Sony and Microsoft would have disclosed such information to any third party.
Therefore, it is probably just speculation on the part of TCL.
Of course it is quite plausible that both companies are already working on the successor consoles.
But it
's hard to say
whether these will be
on the market as early as next year
.
Due to the global shortage of semiconductors, many gamers have not yet been able to get the PS5 and Xbox Series X.
Sony and Microsoft will therefore initially continue to concentrate on the production and sale of the current models until they meet the demand.
If you haven't been able to purchase a PS5 yet, it might be worth waiting a while for the PS5 Pro - but it's not guaranteed that it will appear within the next two years.
