The mother and the whore

- To see

Presented at the Cannes Film Festival in 1973, invisible since 1981, Jean Eustache's film comes out in theaters.

A provocative story that has retained all its insolence.

Jean-Pierre Léaud is as we have never seen him.

Neither at Truffaut nor at Godard.

Alexandre the unfortunate, alter ego of Eustache, he handles despair with humor.

"

It's disgusting, being happy because you're doing the dishes

“, he reproaches Marie (Bernadette Lafont).

They address each other and sleep together.

She runs a clothing store in Montparnasse.

We never see him working.

He spends time at the cafe with his friends.

He reads Proust and quotes Bernanos.

He tries to forget a break with Gilberte (Isabelle Weingarten).

Later we will learn that she got married after having aborted a child of his.

Jurassic

World

- Must See

To conclude the

Jurassic World trilogy in style

,

this new part of the saga by Colin Trevorrow (director of

Jurassic World

, in 2015) has worked hard.

The film confronts the older generation, that of the first three

Jurassic Park

(Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum) to that of the second Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) trilogy.

Without forgetting Omar Sy who makes three short turns and then leaves.

The plot is also split into two parts.

The story presents a world that must now coexist willy-nilly with the dinosaurs brought back to life by science.

We discover gigantic Mosasaurs which coexist in the oceans with whales, dinosaurs which gallop with horses in the plains of the far west, and birds which fly in good intelligence with pterodactyls.

With great efficiency, and high-level special effects,

Jurassic World

primarily focused on action.

Playing on the threat of an ecological disaster on a planetary scale, the scriptwriters applied themselves to treating the dinosaurs as a frightening virus which would sweep over the world.

Little flower

- To see

Marriage, love and family life are great adventures that José and Lucie live.

Until the day when boredom sets in.

Lucie then consults a shrink to save their couple and José goes to see his neighbour.

He's the most troublesome neighbor you can imagine.

Melvil Poupaud must have had a lot of fun portraying this undrinkable character… as funny as it is unbearable.

A lover of jazz, good wines, a giver of lessons on all occasions, this Jean-Claude is also the major asset of

Petite fleur

, a black comedy, gritty as one pleases, which hides its game well. Argentinian director Santiago Miter revisits the genre in the light of his burlesque visions.

His universe, bathed in strangeness and a touch of morbid fantasy,

- To Avoid

Discovered as a novelist and screenwriter for Danny Boyle (

Ex Machina

Annihilation

).

Men

stages a more current nightmare.

Jessie Buckley, haunted by the suicide of her husband (a bad guy), is resting in the countryside.

All the men in the village (pastor, pub owner, policeman) have the same face.

They are all libidinous or malicious.

The load is heavy (the toxic male is everywhere) and turns into a big horn.
