It's hard to believe from the one who makes the trends rain or shine, but Anna Wintour only has one pair of shoes.

Or almost.

This determined step with which she goes to fashion shows and other fashion events, she owes it most of the time to a model of sandals signed Manolo Blahnik.

Stiletto heels of about ten centimeters, crossed leather straps often beige, embossed python: the pair follows her everywhere in two versions, mule or attached to the back of the heel.

And this, since 1994. A fusional and exceptional history.

The two make a pair

Described as “sexy and feminine and make your feet and looks look incredible”, Manolo Blahnik shoes have long won the heart of Anna Wintour.

A close friend of the designer since her early 'Vogue' years in London in the 1980s, the famed editor has sworn loyalty to her designs.

Named “Callasli” in homage to Maria Callas, these sandals were modified by Anna Wintour in 1994, sealing their fates forever.

Since then, she has had new copies made several times a season, made to measure, based on a cast of her feet.

So much so that it has become inseparable from the model, whom Manolo Blahnik himself nicknamed "AW".

Seen recently with yellow or gold pairs, the editor-in-chief of

Vogue

does not seem ready to slow down.
