Customs found 2.5 kilograms of ecstasy disguised as medication on a traveler at Stuttgart Airport.

Officials have now announced that.

The drug smuggling was already exposed at the end of May.

The man is now in custody.

The suspect traveled by bus from Belgium to Stuttgart, it is said.

There he was checked at the airport.

Green and blue tablets

Customs found two foil-wrapped packages in the luggage.

The traveler stated that the packages contained medicines from Africa.

Customs found green and blue tablets after opening.

"A test then brought the result that instead of harmless medication it was ecstasy tablets," according to the investigators.

Criminal proceedings had been instituted against the man for illegally importing narcotics in large quantities in conjunction with illegal trafficking in narcotics in large quantities.
