A customer discovered sunflower oil while shopping in a Netto store.

Horrified, he complained on Facebook about the price of the cooking oil.

Munich - Since cooking oil has become scarce and expensive in German supermarkets and discounters as a result of the Ukraine conflict, outraged customers have been sharing their experiences with the oil online again and again.

Many customers complain about the unusually high prices.

A Netto customer has now also spoken out about his sunflower oil discovery.

He complained to the discounter and demanded answers.

Sunflower oil at net - customer is horrified: "Are you still fine?"

"Tell me, are you still okay?

6.99 euros for 750ml oil, you really can't be serious," wrote the angry net customer on Facebook.

He also shared a snap from inside the store showing a shelf filled with sunflower oil.

“How can a citizen still afford that?” he finally asked, turning to Netto.

Expensive sunflower oil angers Facebook users

The customer found approval in the comments.

"I was just wondering that too.

Lacquer drunk expensive and you don't know who sniffed whom too long at the South Pole.

You can't put it any friendlier than that," commented one user.

But not everyone could understand the annoyance of the contributor.

When asked how citizens could afford the oil, one user replied: “By buying alternatives.

Would your question have been answered?” Another Facebook user didn't understand the excitement about the high price either.

She wrote: "Do you have to buy it?

No"

Finally, Netto itself became aware of the customer complaint.

An employee of the discounter responsible for the Facebook account commented: "Unfortunately, we at the Facebook team cannot help you here.

In this case, we would ask you to contact our service colleagues so that they can investigate your question".

A Lidl customer recently shared his experience with the cooking oil at the discounter.

During his purchase, however, he made another sobering discovery.
