The American platform has revealed in recent days some of the films and series already launched or in the pipeline, to which many will collaborate.

Netflix organized its second “Geeked Week” from Monday to Friday, a virtual event during which, via several social networks, the platform, which is currently experiencing a certain hesitation, offers to discover its next projects, with a profusion of trailers. , first images, casting revelations, and even bloopers.

We have selected some of the programs highlighted, which may be the next big hits from the American streaming giant.

These are of course not the only projects to be found soon, Netflix having unveiled 9 new series for the end of the year and the new seasons of 10 series, but also 11 original films.

“Wednesday

,” the first series from gothic director Tim Burton, will be released in the fall of 2022. We will follow Wednesday Addams, who tries to “master his psychic and emergent abilities, to thwart a monstrous killing spree that terrorizes the local town, and to unraveling the supernatural mystery that involved his parents 25 years ago, while navigating his new adversarial relationships with the strange and diverse student body,” according to the official Netflix synopsis.

We will find Jenna Ortega in the title role, as well as Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia), Luis Guzman (Gomez), and Christina Ricci, the original actress of the character, but who we will find in a role kept secret for the moment.

"Guillermo Del Toro's Cabinets of Curiosities

," is an anthology horror series based on stories occasionally written by the Mexican director, slated to arrive this fall.

If the director had the idea for the project, he also invited colleagues, such as Jennifer Kent (“Mister Babadook”) or Vincenzo Natali (“Cube”).

The program will also be supported by an imposing cast including Andrew Lincoln (“The Walking Dead”), F. Murray Abraham (“Amadeus”), or Ben Barnes (“Shadow and Bone”).

“The Sandman”

is surely one of the most anticipated fictions this year, and for good reason: it is based on the iconic comic book series by Neil Gaiman.

We follow Morpheus, king of dreams locked up in 1916 during an occult ritual who, once freed, decides to take back his kingdom and in the process repair his mistakes.

The huge cast is made up of Tom Sturridge (Morpheus), Gwendoline Christie (Lucifer), or Mark Hamill (Mervyn Pumpkinhead).

If fans had lost hope of an adaptation, it was without counting on Netflix which brings it to our screens on August 5!

"Wendell and Wild"

marks the return of Henry Selick ("The Nightmare Before Christmas") after 14 years of absence.

This animated film co-written with Jordan Peele ("Get out") will feature two demons trying to infiltrate the world of the living through 13-year-old Kat.

This film will give young and old chills as Halloween approaches.

"Entergalactic"

is an animated series imagined by rapper Kid Cudi, which will be released this fall at the same time as his next album.

It will tell the story of two African-American artists looking for love in New York.

If you are not convinced by the summary, the five-star cast will surely seduce you with notably Kid Cudi himself, Timothée Chalamet, or Laura Harrier, seen in “Spider-Man: Homecoming”…
