ANSA Lavoro - ROME, June 10 - Italian wages remain below the Eurozone average and the gap with other large countries widens.
In Italy, the average annual gross wage, recovering from 27.9 thousand euros in 2020 to 29.4 thousand euros in 2021, remains at a lower level than the pre-pandemic one (-0.6%), despite the jump in GDP.
In 2021, in the Eurozone it stood at 37.4 thousand euros gross per year (+ 2.4%), in France it exceeded 40.1 thousand euros, in Germany 44.5 thousand euros.
The average Italian wages thus mark a difference of -10.7 thousand euros compared to France and -15 thousand compared to Germany.
It emerges from a report of the Di Vittorio Cgil Foundation.
